In black cloth with double rows of gilt buttons in the Generals' style, collar and sleeve facing in gold fluting, lining stitched with a Parisian manufacturer's label, name label inside a pocket with Richard's name, moth holes.
Attached a pair of heavily moth-eaten madder trousers with blue stripes (accidents and missing parts).
General Jean-Claude Fleury RICHARD was appointed Brigadier General on 28 December 1897. He took command of the Cavalry Brigade of the 15th Army Corps two years later.
