Francesco Ferrario (Caravaggio 1875 - Milano 1946) Three-element bar cabinet. Milan, 1920s/1930s. Cimasa centred by a shell valve in the round. Mahogany and light wood frame edged and veneered. Doors finely inlaid with architectures and monuments of the city of Milan: the columns of S. Lorenzo; the basilica of S. Ambrogio, the Sforzesco Castle, the Duomo, the bell tower of S. Gottardo, the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Arch of Peace and with the statue of Constantine and the Visconti coat of arms. Interior illuminated and inlaid with fruit, goblets and bottles. Signed in marquetry. Paper label of cabinetmaker on the back. (96x205x35.5 cm.) (defects and restorations)
