(Bergamo, 1570 ca. 1627) Portrait of a Young Man in a Landscape Oil on canvas, 125.5X88 cm Provenance: Rome, private collection Francesco Zucco is an artist from Bergamo who trained in Cremona at the school of Antonio and Vincenzo Campi, but was also influenced by fellow countrymen painters such as Moroni, Cavagna and Salmeggia. His main activity was devoted to portraiture, but paintings of a devotional nature found in churches in Bergamo and its province are not rare. Reference bibliography: F. M.
