Note: Francis Dusépulchre, a graduate of the École normale de l'État in Mons, taught in Marcinelle, Saint-Ghislain and Mariemont while living in Carnières. A self-taught painter, in the 1960s he moved from fantastic, surrealist figuration to almost monochrome constructivist abstraction.

He produced several monumental works: Signal (Trazegnies, 1971; Mariemont, 1975), Cathédrale (Grand-Hornu, 1974), Articulations spatiales (Nivelles, 1983), Environnement habitable (Beaux-Arts de Charleroi metro station, 1983), A Tower for Europe (Brussels, 1987) and Ondulation spatiale (Charleroi, 1990).
Co-founder of the Art concret en Hainaut group (1973), he has exhibited in Brussels, Ixelles, Charleroi, Verviers, Mariemont, Louvain-la-Neuve and Würzburg.
