(Scuffs, marks and restoration work on the top) François Arnal (1924–2012) was a French painter and designer, a distinctive figure in the artistic scene of the second half of the 20th century. Initially influenced by abstraction, he developed a free and experimental body of work, blending painting, sculpture and objects. From the 1960s onwards, he turned his attention to design and created furniture and objects with clean, functional lines, notably his famous (stool, chair, magazine rack) ‘Model Z’ in Plexiglas or lacquered metal, or his ‘Serre-Joints’ coffee table from the 1970s! **Collection of lots will be by appointment only, on WEDNESDAY 7 OCTOBER 2026 in the PERCHE (61)** The exact address of the premises will be provided once the invoice has been paid in full, when the appointment is made. **After this date, any items remaining on site will be deemed abandoned and the full balance will remain due**
