Dimensions: H: 44.5; W: 35.5 cm Franois Schortgen, born on 11 October 1935 in Esch-sur-Alzette, began painting at the age of 13. In 1954, he moved to Alaska and then to Canada's Far North, a move that would have a major influence on his artistic signature. An avid traveller, he never ceased to be inspired by the landscapes seen in Greenland, Japan, China, Core... He has exhibited widely, both in Luxembourg and abroad, earning him international recognition.
