Freemason group from Meissen Freemason standing on a pedestal covered with sculptural flowers and leaves, taking measurements on a globe with a pair of compasses. A gentleman seated at his side, following his explanations. At their feet a reclining Corinthian capital, various reclining attributes of the Freemasons and a pug. Polychrome painting with rich, partly etched gold decoration. Designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler. Model no. 376, unmarked; minimally dam.; crossed swords mark. H. 22.5 cm.
