Overall very good. Elegant, expressive composition. Provenance: Tiziani Archives, Palm Beach Auctions, 2019 - In his fashion drawings for the couture house Tiziani in the 1960s, Karl Lagerfeld experimented with the then still quite unusual medium of felt-tip pen, thus setting new standards in fashion illustration. With a confident stroke and a clear formal language, Lagerfeld created designs that were both modern and artistic. His lines were dynamic and controlled at the same time, making each drawing look like a stylised snapshot of fashion. The use of felt-tip pens lent the designs a special freshness and directness that still fascinates today. Felt-tip pen and fabric samples on wove paper. 40 x 30 cm.
