Early small bowl with Hoeroldt chinoiserie with matching saucer. Partly Böttger porcelain. Slightly bulbous, widening body with flaring lip rim. On both sides of the wall and in the recessed mirror a quatrefoil reserve framed by foliage in iron red and gold with a lustre background, so-called Böttger lustre. Inside, a scenic depiction of Chinese with fans in blossoming Asian garden landscapes. Indian flowering branches between the reserves and in the centrepiece. The rim of the saucer and the inner edge of the bowl with a wide gold lace border, the underside of the bowl with three iron-red ring lines. Partial minim. Hairline crack. Coupe unmarked. Saucer with sword mark. Cup h. 4.5 cm.
