This Cabinet is characterized by its extraordinarily luxurious accoutrement with decorative elements of ‘white gold’. Already in the area of the base frame fully sculptural crafted figures are visible, fluted columns, volutes, flower and acanthus leave motifs, each sumptuously painted and heightened in gold. The three drawers underneath the table top are embellished with three rectangular porcelain plates, each surrounded by bronze friezes. On the side of the drawers four corner figures in the shape of atlases are positioned. Three additional porcelain medallions can be found on the tabletop. These porcelain inlays are, just like most of the other, also painted with elaborate scenes of gallant couples in a natural environment and surrounded by bronze borders. Only the sides show detailed bird motifs. Drawers and door of the upper part are emphasized with porcelain plaques. In addition four fully sculptural columns ornate the front. A semi-circular gallery with porcelain baluster and figures complete the splendid overall impression.

The enclosed key fits only in the castles of the upper part. The total dimensions are 140.5 x 105 x 71.5 cm.
Wallendorfer Porzellanmanufaktur (est. 1764)
The Wallendorf Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1764 by Wolfgang Hammann in Thuringian Wallendorf (Lichte). The production variety spans from services over figures to chandeliers. The manufactory was in family ownership until 1833 and from then on in the hands of alternating considerable owners, like Hutschenreuther, Heubach, Fraureuth and Heinz Schaubach. The porcelain manufactory is in the possession of the Bruckert Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH today. The Wallendorf Porcelain manufactory places value on historic assembly methods. The artisanal manufacturing process has thus remained and the over centuries refined porcelain formula is still a well-kept secret of the manufactory.
