Flintlock two-shot shotgun. Barrels in table, with flats with the thunder, punched of Leclerc and signed "Fourni par Prévoteau Le Jeune à Paris". Lights and basins lined with silver. Flat-bodied locks signed "PREVOTEAU JEUNE A PARIS" and flat-bodied dogs engraved with game and foliage. Upper jaws engraved with laurel wreaths. Roller springs. Iron ramrod entrance, trigger guard and butt plate return engraved with game and foliage en suite. Walnut stock carved with the head of a fantastic animal. Rod with deer antler tip. Monogrammed gold thumb piece, sling. Length: 125 cm. Fairly good condition. Circa 1810. He is listed as a harquebusier and fourbisseur in Paris after 1825. However, as this is a dynasty, it could be an earlier rifle sold by this harquebusier. Provenance: Collection of Monsieur F. EXPERT: Arnaud DE GOUVION SAINT-CYR.
