GALLO-ROMAN BRONZE EAGLE HEAD CHARIOT FITTING. Ca. AD 200 - 400 . A bronze chariot fitting in the form of an eagle's head with a prominent, downward-curving beak that terminates in a rounded knob. The head is decorated with stylised feathers, rendered as overlapping, linear incisions. A raised collar encircles the lower section. Below, the fitting transitions into a rounded base with a projecting attachment point featuring a small, drilled hole.
