GANDHARAN SCHIST HEAD OF BODHISATTVA. Ca. AD 200 - 400. A carved stone head of Bodhisattva. The serene face depicts deep set almond eyes, with the urna, and lobed ears with earrings. The carving shows an elaborately carved ushnisha with a decorative chain under the topknot and over the forehead.
