GASPAR DE CRAYER (attr. to) (Antwerp, 1582 - Ghent, 1662) Adoration of the Shepherds Oil on canvas, 130X123 cm The work is compared with the canvas attributed to Gaspar de Crayer in the Residenzmuseum in Munich (inv. no. 49; see https://rkd.nl/imageslite/36907) and the subject depicted has Rubensian characteristics. These style clues seem to validate the reference to Gaspar de Crayer, a pupil of Michel and member of the Accademia di San Luca in Brussels in 1607.
