Abrincatui. Statere with lunate profile, Class II "with smooth cheek", var. 1 ND (end of the first half of the 1st century BC and Gallic War).
Av. crescent moon-shaped head right with almond-shaped eye and smooth cheek, hair in flaming wisps backwards; [small head right] and beaded cords ending in brace around profile.
Rv. Horse right, led by a highly stylised charioteer holding a staff; a vertical lyre between two radiating annuli below the horse and a small boar sign in front of the horse's chest.

From an old English collection, possibly one of the many treasures discovered on the Isle of Jersey in the last century.
Edge cuts at 12 and 7 o'clock. Fairly well centred with the back of the profile well detailed on the right. Old grey patina TTB to Superb.
