Leaf in front of forehead. Ear formed by two lines ending on the cheek in an ornament of three globules set in a triangle. Rv. Winged androcephalus right. On the croup, a charioteer holding a strap ending, in front of the human profile, in a square divided by a cross in the shape of an X. Under the tail, a wheel with four stripes. Under the androcephalus, a figure reclining to the right with two outstretched wings. DT.2145 v. - Trésor des Sablons cf. London BM 1006 [D5-R5] ; Gold - 7,28 g - 20,5 mm - 3 h NGC VF 5/5 3/5 (6634179-006). On a wide blank, with good centring. A tiny shock on the scroll at 12 o'clock on the right and at 6 o'clock on the reverse. A fine scratch in front of the nose. Beautiful yellow colour, with nice relief. Almost Superb. The first issues would have appeared in the first half of the 2nd century BC and would have continued without notable typological variations until the Gallic War. The presence of three small globules under the vexillum is a notable variation: the style of our example is close to DT. 2146. The Sablons treasure from which most examples come was discovered in the 1990s on the banks of the river Huisne in Le Mans. Our example is not listed as coming from this group but is very close to the London example, British Museum 1006, entered in 1867.
