GAULE - CELTIC Riedones. Statère with boar, class I with decoration on cheek, var. 2 ND (2nd - 1st century BC). Av. Profile with large head of hair, arranged in wavy locks under a laurel wreath with three parallel rows of four elements. Above the crown, a central bun and scrolled locks on either side. The hair ends on the cheek with a three-lobed element. Rv. Androcephalous horse to left, led by its charioteer holding the reins; below the horse a boar bearing a sign to left. Good centering and very beautiful style. The strike is a little weak in front of the bust and at the bottom of the reverse. TTB to Superb.
