Venetes or Riedons. Statère with beardless profile, class I, unpublished var. and wheel and cross ND (2nd - 1st century BC).
Av. Stylized right profile, with hair in wide crescent strands, S-shaped curl over ear and nape of neck, crossette behind, and marked superciliary arch.
Rv. Androcephalous horse right, surmounted by an charioteer holding the reins and a wavy tie upwards. Below, a beaded wheel with four spokes; in front of the chest, a cross (remnant of the gonfanon).

In a crude and highly stylised style. Appears to be made of electrum of good grade, with a slightly golden colour. Wide flan and well marked relief. Superb.
