S., Paris 3 March 1927, to his father Henri de GAULLE; 3 pages in-8 headed Le Maréchal de France Inspecteur général de l'Armée Vice-président du Conseil supérieur de la Guerre (slight stains). About his lectures at the Ecole Supérieure de Guerre. He sent his second lecture "for criticism and correction" to his "dear father"... "The first, chaired by the Marshal, made a very big impression. The partisans were jubilant, the neutrals smiled and the sharks that swam around the ship waiting for me to fall into the water to devour me moved a good distance away". He was delighted to find his mother "in good health despite her poor eyesight"... LNC, I, p. 686. An L. A.
