De Gaulle asks for time to reply in detail to a letter from Paul Reynaud about an article in Le Figaro. "I have just received the letter you kindly wrote to me about an article in Le Figaro. There are a number of things to be said that can be very striking. But I would like to ask you for a 48-hour credit, as I am just back from a long exercise in the Fortified Region and am leaving for the Suippes camp.
