[2] ff. 376 pp. Marked third edition: three editions of this work appeared in the same year (Vicaire, III, 894-895). This volume also contains the following titles with continuous pagination: La chaîne d'or, Le petit chien de la marquise, Le nid de rossignols, La morte amoureuse, Une nuit de Cléopatre. A fine copy of this collection of tales, emblematic of Romantic fantasy, which belonged to two renowned 19th-century bibliophiles. Ex-libris of Paul Arnauldet with the motto Nunquam Amicorum and that of Eugène Richtenberger.
