This famous fashion magazine appeared from 1912 to 1925, but publication was interrupted during the war. The literary texts, by Cocteau, Henriot, Miomandre, Roger-Marx, Giraudoux, Régnier, Mac-Orlan, etc., are the pretext for magnificent and luminous Art Deco illustrations, full-page, faded into the text or framed, by Dufy, Marty, Gosé, Lepape, Boutet de Montvel, Barbier, Carlègle, Brunelleschi, etc. Composite and incomplete set, comprising 187 colour plates hors texte, with advertising leaflets. - 1913 April to October, 7 fasc. containing 70 plates [nos. 6 to 12, each complete with 10 plates; with summaries and tables for the year 1912-1913 at the end of no. 12]. - 1914, noël 1913 + janvier à juillet, 7 fasc. containing 72 plates [n° 1 (noël 1913) puis n° 1 à 3 et n° 5 à 7, chacun complet de ses 10 plates, et une suppl. dans le n° 2 et le n° 7 ; avec les sommaires et tables du premier semestre 1914 dans n° 1]. - 1915, summer, nos. 8-9, 13 plates [6 unnumbered plates by Drian; 6 double numbered plates and one additional plate]. - 1920, January to May, no. 1 to 4, 32 plates and 25 sketches [no. 1, 8 plates and 8 sketches by Dufy (freckles and stains); no. 2: 8 plates and 8 sketches by Franconnet; no. 3, 8 plates and 4 sketches by Mario Simon; no. 4, 8 plates and 1 sketch in 4 plates]. Jackets very damaged, with tears, spotting, foxing. Small stains and foxing inside. Some plates are numbered consecutively (while for others the numbering resumes at I at the beginning of the issue), and with the round stamp C L V; some folders undated, others with the address of Berlin, London, New York, Buenos-Aires.
