A flat coloured background is given a geometric rhythm by several uniform circles, thus reflecting on serial image production, geometric order and the thematic relativisation of the individual case. The composition points to Armleder’s conceptual proximity to the Neo-Geo movement and his affinity for ornamental structures that oscillate between chance and system. The minimalist formal language and the industrial printing technique reflect his ironic and detached approach to the conventions of painting. 4 works. Untitled (Dot Series). 1992.
