George II goblet vase in sterling silver. Slightly stepped round foot, merging into a short shaft and conical bowl. Rocaille handles on the sides. The wall decorated in relief and punched with flower arrangements and cartouches on both sides framed by C-sweeps with the text "2nd Batt. East Norfolk 9th Reg" and "Presented by Captain Grimston on his leaving the rec.t. to Col.l. Elmhirst. And the officers 2nd Batt. 9th reg.t. Nov.r. 23rd 1860". Minimal rest; foam mark, indistinct maker's mark, year letter "U". Weight approx. 1220 g. H. 22,5 cm. D. 16 cm.
