Note: In 1958, Widdicomb launched a new line of furniture called "Origins", designed by George Nakashima. To win over the public, Nakashima selected particularly aesthetic woods, including laurel, black walnut, Carpathian elm and rosewood. He has also developed a unique finish called "Sundra", which means "beautiful thing". The craftsmen at Widdicomb made the pieces in the Origins series by hand, using the technique of George Nakashima, who himself supervised production to guarantee quality and precision.
