Presented in December 1934 at the prestigious Brussels gallery Georges Giroux during the artist's first exhibition at Giroux. The subject was illustrated in an article devoted to the event in the newspaper "Les Echos de Midi" of 12 December 1934. Height: 69 cm. Provenance: Artist's studio. Collection of the Vandevoorde family since the mid-1960s (the spelling of the surname has no space in the civil register). We enclose a certificate of authenticity and provenance signed by Mr and Mrs Vandevoorde, the artist's grandchildren.
