Bronze, brown patina. Double ligature monogram "GR". Contemporary depiction between figuration and abstraction. Rumpf studied sculpture at the Academy in Munich from 1964 to 1970, and in 1965 he founded his own workshop for bronze casting. In the course of his life, Rumpf received numerous prizes and scholarships, including the Villa Massimo in Rome in 1972/73. From 1979-2001 he held a professorship at the University of Kaiserslautern.
