One of XX deluxe copies on BFK de Rives vellum. The copy contains 10 handwritten messages of encouragement signed by puppeteers and the publisher. This copy belonged to Francis Raphard, a puppeteer who had inherited his father's castelet in the Tuileries gardens. Francis Raphard, a great collector and practitioner, contributed to the book by lending photos, among other things. The book contains a few truffles, a long letter from the publisher at Bordas, an original photo montage used as an illustration in the book, newspaper cuttings, etc. The binding is very damaged.
