Ceremonial waistcoat, Morocco, circa 1880, Waistcoat in branched brocade fashioned in violet silk and gilded laughing thread. Plastron underlined by two lines of braided buttons in gold and silver thread and arabesques in braid and cordonnet (2 small accidents, tapered collar). Cotton main lining. We enclose a pair of embroidered babouche slippers and a square silk shawl, 80 x 80 cm.
