First edition of the memoirs of the chansonnier and caricaturist André Gill, then interned at Charenton Saint-Maurice. Interesting copy with 6 items bound in the volume: - Autograph note signed by André Gill addressed to his beloved Montronet. - Invitation card for the first painting exhibition at the Grand-Hôtel from 15 February to 17 March. André Gill's personal admission card. - Invitation card, Exhibition of Works by André Gill, Galerie Vivienne, 15 December to 15 January 1884, signed by Emile Cohl. - Catalogue of the André Gill Exhibition, Galerie Vivienne. 1884. In-12, 16 pp. front cover illustrated with a caricature of Gill by himself. - Watercolour drawing on pink paper (8 x 11 cm). - Watercolour on pink paper (8 x 11 cm), signed by Gill. - Watercolour signed (11 x 18 cm) depicting an old soldier wearing a bicorn, umbrella and sabre. Ex-libris of Albert Hénin, goldsmith and deputy mayor of the 3rd arrondissement, who owned a fine collection on politics and the working class (catalogue 1901?) - Spine faded.
