In fact, it is precisely in his nativity work, not conditioned by officialdom, that he models figures of various types where his adherence to Sanmartino's ways becomes closer and more complete. Nicola Ingaldi, on the other hand, came from a family of artists active in Naples between the second half of the 18th century and the end of the 19th century. Probably the brother of Aniello, he played a role as a modeller in the Royal Factory of Ferdinand IV and carried out an intense activity in the field of crib sculpture.
