First separate edition, printed in facsimile, and first printing of the 16 original colour lithographs by Jean-Émile Laboureur. This text was originally a chapter in the novel Simon le pathétique (published in 1918). The title page is dated 1919, but the work was not published until five years later, due to hesitations between the artist and the publisher.
