Girolamo Campagna (1549 Verona - 1625 Venice) Circumference Small statuette with allegory of Prudentia (Prudence) Bronze, gilded on the front. Ebonised wooden base. Almost fully sculpted, finely detailed and chiselled depiction of Prudentia in a floor-length dress, holding her attributes snake and mirror in her hands. Campagna went to Venice in 1572, where he became the leading sculptor of his time and maintained a large workshop for important commissions and also casts in bronze.
