Marked 21st artillery regiment, with scabbard with same unit marking, leather and brass fittings. Leather scabbard with canvas and wool Troddel, coulissot missing. Wear, patina. German Artillery Short Sword with Frog and Knot Faschinenmesser M1864. Fine blade by V. Jung & S. of Suhl, dated 1871 with inspection mark. Cast brass hilt with crossguard. Marked to the 21st Artillery Regiment, complete with matching leather scabbard with brass fittings. Leather frog fitted with a Troddel in cloth and wool, loop missing. Wear and patina.
