GNATHIAN JUG WITH MEANDERS. Ca. 325 - 275 BC. A black-glazed jug with a globular body on a tall stepped foot, a short neck and a broad everted rim. A single strap handle rises from the shoulder to the rim. Around the shoulder runs a polychrome frieze: a single incised line below the lip; a band of white ovolo; double incised bands enclosing a wavy band; a row of white dots; paired red fillets enclosing a running meander in added white and yellow; terminating white dots.
