GNATHIAN KANTHAROS WITH VINE MOTIF Ca. 350 - 300 BC. A black-glazed pottery vessel with painted white and yellow decorations. The body is wider at the top and features repeating dot patterns along the upper section. Leaf-like motifs and wavy lines decorate the surface. Two symmetrical, curved handles extend upward from the shoulder. The base is unglazed and subtly tapered. Size: 110mm x 150mm; Weight: 185g. Provenance: Property of a central London gallery, previously acquired on the Dutch art market; previously acquired on the Belgium art market; Daniel Bogaerts, Brussels, 1995.
