First and only edition. - Engelmann, Bibliotheca mechanico-technologica, 133 - Very rare in the trade, currently no other copy for sale, only 2 complete copies traceable for us at auctions in the last more than 30 years. - Deals with, among other things, the "geometrical construction of sundials", "inclinirende Uhren", tools, "Ausfertigung allerhand beweglicher Uhren", "Sonnenuhren-Beschreibung durch die Horizontal- und Vertical-Bögen". The author of the work is thought to be the Ulm polyhistor Johann Ulrich Müller (1653-1715), who also wrote other works on mathematics and astronomy. - Provenance: Dr Stanislaw Aulich, with his illustrated ex-libris mounted on the front pastedown. - Binding slightly bumped at the corners and edges, somewhat rubbed overall. Book block with discreet trimming, otherwise a well-preserved copy. With engraved frontispiece, wood-cut title vignette and 70 copper plates, as well as numerous tables, 4 of which are folded. - Engelmann, Bibliotheca mechanico-technologica, 133 - Particuarly rare in trade, for us only 2 complete copies traceable at auctions within the last 30+ years. - Among other things, the work deals with the 'geometric construction of sundials', 'inclining clocks', tools, 'construction of all kinds of movable clocks', 'description of sundials using horizontal and vertical arcs'. The author of the work is thought to be the Ulm polyhistor Johann Ulrich Müller (1653-1715), who also wrote other works on mathematics and astronomy. - Provenance: Dr Stanislaw Aulich, with his pictorial bookplate on front paste-down. - Cover slightly bumped at the corners and edges, somewhat worn overall. Book block with discreet trimming, otherwise a well-preserved copy indeed.
