Hourglass-shaped drum with one membrane and the end flaring out in the shape of an open fish mouth. Very fine decoration including stylised human faces.
Height: 44.5 cm.
Slight restoration and wear.
Note: bears an old label. "Brought back before 1930".
Provenance: Collection of a couple of collectors, Blois. Acquired on 03/11/2007 from the New Guinea Gallery- David Baker, Sydney, Australia. (Invoice enclosed).
