Military canteen used by American paratroopers. It comes with a cover made of thick olive drape canvas, reinforced at the back for use by paratroopers or cavalry. It was made by Foley MFG CO in 1942. The hook used to attach it to the belt is still present, although affected by oxidation. The snaps are still in good working order. US markings are clearly visible on the front. The quarter is missing. The canteen is complete with its stopper and chain, and bears the date 1944. There is some wear and a pronounced patina to the item, along with a few stains. Condition II+.
