LARGE PORCELAIN PICTURE, BERLIN, MID-19th CENTURY decorated in biscuit bas-relief with bust portraits of the German emperors of the House of Hohenzollern under arches, in a band on a beige background decorated with trelliswork, flowers, interlacing and mascarons. Marked: sceptre in blue, orb and KPM in red. Pewter lid (Lid pusher missing) A LARGE PORCELAIN JUG, BERLIN, MID-19TH CENTURY 36 CM - 14,2 IN. According to an undated note by Newstead Garnett, copied by J.H. Illingworth & Sons in November 1963, and a newspaper article dated 5.11.1963, this jug was delivered by the Berlin factory to Kaiser Wilhelm I, who gave it as a gift at a charity sale, where it was bought by his aunt Martha, then living in Berlin, who presented it at Newstead Garnett's wedding on 14 September 1887.
