Large earthenware dish in the form of a lotus leaf and flowers, Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) It is polychrome enamelled in the imitation of two lotus leaves, on one of which small crabs wander alongside lotus stems, flowers and fruit. The underside is cream enamelled with an oval moulded mark that is difficult to read. Probably Banko kilns. D. 41 cm (accidents and missing parts)
