LARGE TAPI, KACHAN KORK (Iran, circa 1970 - 1975) Ivory field decorated with scrolls and garlands of fine branches of palmettes of flowers surrounded by foliage, adorned with a central floral medallion in lilac, pale blue and beige in the shape of an elongated diamond. Four spandrels with motifs and colours echoing the central medallion. Seven borders, the main one pale pink, decorated with fine twisted crenellated stems inlaid with star-shaped flower bulbs. Density: approximately 7000/7500 knots per dm². High-quality silky lambswool velvet on cotton backing. L. 297 x W. 194 cm. (Good condition)
