In chased and gilded bronze, the shaft with a motif of Victories leaning against each other, the bouquet with three adjustable-height arms decorated with women with butterfly wings, a Victory holding a laurel wreath and a feather at the top, the circular base surrounded by a frieze with a motif of palmettes and stylised lotus leaves, the lampshade in green and gold lacquered sheet metal; pierced for electricity.

A bouillotte lamp identical to ours is kept in the office of Emperor Napoleon I at the Château de Compiègne and is illustrated in J.M. Moulin, Le Château de Compiègne, Éditions de la Réunion des musées nationaux, 1987, p. 93 (see Fig. 1). We should also point out that a lamp of the same model, although of the same period, recently sold at Artcurial Paris on 17 December 2024, lot 79.
