A large pair of ormolu sconces with two fluted and foliate arms. The binnacles are edged with friezes of pearls and foliage and rest on bobèches with drops of vine leaves. The plate, decorated with piasters, seeds and foliage, is topped by a flame on a raised floret flanked by wide garlands of grained laurels. Louis XVI style, early 19th century Height Height : 68 cm Our sconces are based on the creations of 18th century bronzemakers who drew their inspiration directly from the designs of Jean-Charles Delafosse, in particular the models published in his 1768 collection.
