GREEK BLACK FIGURE KYLIX WITH DOLPHIN
Ca. 550 - 480 BC. A kylix with a more defined lip compared to the rest of the body, standing on a hollow conical pedestal foot with a broad base. In this example, the lip is undecorated; however, just beneath the lip and on the exterior wall is a register featuring a skillfully delineated swimming dolphin flanked by palmettas on side A, while on side B, there is a plant with heart-shaped leaves. The internal part is covered by a homogeneous layer of black varnish. Size: 65mm x 175mm; Weight: 210g.
