GREEK BLACK GLAZE GUTTUS WITH GORGONEION
Ca. 400 - 300 BC.
A wheel-made terracotta guttus with a flattened, globular body on a ring foot, a vertical strap handle, and a flaring spout. The upper surface is moulded in relief with a gorgoneion, framed within concentric grooves and encircled by a notched border. Covered in a glossy black glaze.
