GREEK BLACK GLAZE KANTHAROS WITH STAMPED PALMETTES
Ca. 400 - 300 BC.
A black-glaze chalice with a deep, flaring bowl set on a short stem and disc foot, reserved at the base. The body is encircled by vertical fluting in the lower section and flanked by two high, arched handles curving outward. The interior of the bowl is decorated at the centre with four stamped palmettes arranged around a central rosette.
