Ca. 500 - 300 BC A black-glazed amphora with a tall cylindrical neck, wide outturned rim and a pair of vertical strap handles rising from the shoulder to just below the rim, the elongated ovoid body tapering to a high foot with flaring base. Size: 640mm x 230mm; Weight: 3.7kg. Private London collection; previously acquired on the Belgian art market; originally in the collection of S Vanhoutte, Brussels 1990’s.
