GREEK CORE-FORMED GLASS AMPHORISKOS
Ca. 600 - 400 BC
A core-formed amphoriskos crafted from aubergine-coloured glass. It has an inverted pear-shaped body that tapers down to a ball shaped base. The vessel features a short neck flanked by arched handles, with a thick rounded rim. The body is decorated with alternating bands of orange and white, the latter adorned with red dots. Both the neck and the base are similarly finished with orange bands. This piece is accompanied by a custom-made stand.
