GREEK GEOMETRIC BRONZE HORSE HEAD Ca. AD 1 - 200. A solid-cast bronze horse head with tapering snout, almond-shaped eyes, and pointed ears. The arched neckline is bordered by incised lines indicating the mane. For similar see: M. Bolla, Animali di Bronzo del Museo archeologico al teatro romano di Verona, N. inv. 21720; n. prec. 614. Size: 63mm x 29mm; Weight: 31g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired from a Austrian collection (1980s-1990s).
